Waste water from residential, commercial and industrial areas contains many types of chemical and pollutants. This chemical and pollutant’s main cause of water and air pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to separate the pollutants before releasing the pollutants into any watercourse or the ground. There are many ways to separate the pollutants from the waste water. Land treatment is one of them.

Land treatment is the process of systematically applying treated pollutant water to the land to prevent water and air pollution. Land treatment and reinvestment of waste water is an old method & practice to reuse polluted water.

Waste water land treatment is otherwise known as Land Application of waste water or Natural Treatment of waste water.

What is Rapid Infiltration (RI) Land Treatment?

Rapid Infiltration land treatment process is the most intensive method of land treatment. It uses high hydraulic & organic loading in this method.

What is Overflow (OF) Land Treatment?

Overflow is a biological land treatment process. This process is suitable for relatively impermeable soil. BOD & suspended solids are removed by the land treatment process of Biological oxidation, sedimentation & filtration.
