In India the Union Budget is the Annual Financial Statement or the statement of the estimated expenditure and receipt of the Indian Government in each financial year is known as the Union Budget.
History Of Union Budget In India
The Union Budget of India is also referred to as the Annual Financial Statement in Article 112 of the Indian constitution. The Government presents union budget on the Ist day of February so that it could be materialised before the starting of the new financial year.
Until the 2016 financial year Union Budget was presented on the last working days of February by the Finance Minister.
